When our son was born, we suddenly had a whole new reason to explore Sarasota. Weekend farmers markets, holiday festivals, and all those community events that make a place feel like home.

The problem? Finding them was a scavenger hunt. Some events lived on Facebook. Others were buried in calendars. And we'd often hear about great stuff after it happened.

SRQ Weekly is our answer to that. We built it to be the best place to find what's happening in the Sarasota area—festivals, community events, family-friendly happenings, and the shows worth knowing about.

Most events sites dump everything into one endless list—sponsored posts, business seminars, and things that aren't really events at all. We focus on the stuff people actually want to do, and make it easy to find what's relevant to you.
