The City of Sarasota is starting a monthly market at Arlington Park, and the first one lands Friday, October 2.
First Fridays: market-at-the-trail runs 9am to 1pm on the first Friday of the month at 2650 Waldemere Street, set along the park’s trail. Admission is free, and leashed pets are welcome under the usual park rules.
Expect to find handmade goods, crafts, plants, and gifts from local makers, with a rotating lineup of food and beverage trucks alongside.
As of now, three fall dates are set for October 2, November 6, and December 4. But Parks and Recreation told us that if the first three markets go well, the department plans to continue the series into the winter.
If you’re a vendor, applications are now open. The city says spaces are limited, so apply early using the short form: reserve a vendor spot.
